‘Widgets’ by El the White Witch
Let me tell you a story, well not a story really but a theory birthed from a story…
Once upon a time, when I was in year 12 actually, I was studying Biology to be ready to apply for medical college, and the teacher took me aside and told me all I could hope for was a ‘C’ grade.
Well to say I was upset is an understatement, but I was sad more than anything, that something I thought I was headed for was not a reality, although I did have a moment of “I’ll show you, you are wrong!” attitude, which turned out to be badly placed … I got that ‘C’.
Anyway, the outcome was curiosity. How? How did I get a ‘C’ when I was headed for an ‘A’, how did I miss out on medical college? Why did he see that when I was doing the whole course so well, or so I thought. Did I simply lay down my hopes and agree? If so, why?
Then it expanded to why do people have terrible experiences? Why do we end up with constant challenges? How come some people seem to flow with ease and happiness? Hmmmm????
So, I started observing, learning, researching, assessing and generally being an avid study of energy flow, signs, serendipitous events, people and emotions. I took to learning all ways around self-analysis and what I refer to as the human state. The whys and ways we function in extraordinary situations as well as day to day activities, and I have come up with a theory.
My theory is not new or ground breakingly surprising, but it does have my own word structure and descriptions to match my own observations, and so in that way it is unique.
But no more explanations.
Here it is, my theory, birthed from those events that shake and shock us and often place us in a different position than we were planning.
My theory is very simply about uniqueness, the fact that every single one of us, for all time has a different fingerprint and the fact that we all remember things with a slight difference, and that there are a myriad pieces required to make up the entire multiverse.
I suggest therefore, that we are (my descriptive word for it) ‘widgets’ within the system. That there are no two the same because even if we take a car for example, all the ‘widgets’ that make up the vehicle in total are different, even those made the same go into a different place in the machine. So, every single ‘widget’ is unique and essential for the vehicle to function.
I was observing an effervescent outgoing 6-year-old, being shy and reticent and I asked her what was going on. She responded by explaining she is just like her mother and making friends is difficult for her. I told her the story of fingerprints and suggested no one is modelled on anyone else because we are perfect in our individuality. The next day she ran up to a teacher and hugged her goodbye. I asked what that was about and she said, “I’m being me” … now that was a 6-year-old, who, in a moment applied the logic without apology or regret because she accepted there was no unfairness to her existence. How exciting!
So back to explaining my theory…
If we take that we are all ‘widgets’ and essential for our part in the multiverse set up, then how can we be wrong, as we were made exactly right for our place in the system.
Of course, unlike the 6-year-old, we as adults often have decades of brainwashing, conforming, doubting and trouble shooting to get it right, fit in, cause no harm, be acceptable and the list goes on.
But the theory still holds.
If we know who we were made to be, and we align with the naturally occurring values and talents that derive from our pure soul-gifted self, then we have an opportunity to enjoy life and the challenges and adventures thrown our way, because we believe and know we have what it takes to handle it (whatever it is).
This therefore raises the question, how do we know? Because, even by year 12, I was making decisions based on a construct not the real me.
And that is of course why I do what I do.
It is what I bring to the table in bite-sized portions through tarot readings or where I take you on travels through mentoring or inspire you through retreats and events for women to Unleash and be all that they were made to be.
We have the perfect blueprint to be exactly empowered and effective if only we know what that is.
Look at me, it was a “no” to medicine, then it was a “no” to conventional marriage, then it was a “no” to … and … oh my goodness, the list goes on …
But when I wrote, or studied magic and the nature of energy, quantum physics or tarot, I was blessed with what I refer to as serendipitous good luck. I was supported through opportunities I could not have organised, like going to a disaster zone as a volunteer, invited through a random phone call from a random contact, where I became ED and the event soared into the realm of a 6-nation involvement. I did not ‘do’ that, it unfolded around me ….
Now, your question to me right now might be, “what is your ‘widget’ and how does it work for you?”
So, I will share this much with you, my journey required me to clean up false constructs, identify limiting beliefs based on society, political or religious based opinions, disconnect from collective thinking to fit a family unit, choosing to love being different instead, and whatever else presented itself as I searched for the real me underneath the glamours organised by me, myself and I, to make me a palatable fit.
And, looking back now, having hit my 66th year, I see a journey that to this point has been exciting and rich with anticipation as I have aligned increasingly with me and my way and experienced ever so many more moments of serendipitous good luck and joy which makes any fear of embracing the real instead of the construct diminish over time.
But as to which ‘widget’ I embody? I’ll leave that for another story and another day, instead I invite you to consider the power available to you when you realign with the perfection of how you arrived this time round.
So let us all unleash to be our best selves, let us allow ourselves the right to have the most positive impact, doing our bit, because it feels so right to be true to the ‘widget’ over the construct, and let us do our bit by letting go of judging our ‘widgets’ as good or bad, useful or useless and embracing the truth that we are ALL essential!
